If I ______ (get) the money, I ______ (buy) a mobile phone.
Jawabannya adalah “If I got the money, I would buy a mobile phone.” (Jika aku mendapatkan uang, aku akan membeli ponsel.)
Soal meminta untuk mengubah kalimat menjadi pengandaian/conditional sentence type 2.
Kalimat soal “If I ______ (get) the money, I ______ (buy) a mobile phone.” berarti “Jika aku ______ (mendapatkan) uang, aku ______ (membeli) ponsel.”
Conditional sentence type 2 digunakan untuk menyatakan kegiatan atau aksi yang bertentangan dengan kenyataan sehingga mustahil terjadi.
Rumus : If + S + V2 + O, S + would + V1 + O.
Untuk bagian awal rumus kalimatnya If + S + V2 + O. V2 dari kata “get” adalah “got”. Sehingga kalimatnya menjadi “If I got the money, …”
Kemudian pada bagian akhir rumus kalimatnya S + would + V1 + O. Maka kalimatnya menjadi “… I would buy a mobile phone.”
