1. Daddy drinks A cup of coffee every day
Jawaban : A cup of coffee is drunk by Daddy every day.
Soal meminta untuk mengubah kalimat aktif menjadi kalimat pasif.
Kalimat soal adalah “Daddy drinks a cup of coffee every day.” (Ayah minum Secangkir kopi setiap hari.)
Kalimat tersebut merupakan kalimat Simple Present Tense ditandai oleh penanda waktu ‘every day’.
Rumus kalimat pasif Simple Present Tense : S + am/is/are + V3 + by + O.
Is digunakan untuk subjek I, she, he, it dan subjek tunggal (singular).
Are digunakan untuk subjek you, they, we dan subjek jamak (plural).
Am digunakan untuk subjek I.
Langkah-langkah mengubah kalimat aktif menjadi kalimat pasif adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Letakkan subjek yang diambil dari objek kalimat aktif yaitu ‘a cup of coffee’.
2. Tambahkan to be ‘is’ karena subjek ‘a cup of coffee’ merupakan subjek tunggal.
3. Tambahkan V3 yaitu ‘drinks’ diubah menjadi ‘drunks’.
4. Tambahkan ‘by’ dan objek yang diambil dari subjek kalimat aktif yaitu ‘Daddy’.
5. Tambahkan keterangan yaitu ‘every day’.
Berdasarkan langkah-langkah tersebut diperole kalimat pasif “A cup of coffee is drunk by Daddy every day.” (Secangkir kopi diminum oleh Ayah setiap hari.)
Jadi, jawabannya adalah : A cup of coffee is drunk by Daddy every day.
